Let's "Cross the Bridge to Hope" Together!
As the year 2021 comes to its final chapter and we look to 2022, The Samaritans' "Cross the Bridge to Hope" at this year's Pell Bridge Run on October 17th has new meaning. I've been so proud of everyone involved at SAMSRI, the board, staff and volunteers - working together to help us create a COVID-19 Response team to meet our technological, training and volunteer needs. I am grateful to everyone for not giving up on those we serve and our mission in suicide prevention education and grief support.
Meet our Grand Marshals!
I am also proud of this year's first time ever "Cross the Bridge to Hope" Grand Marshals - 40 year SAM volunteer Bryan Ganley and East Bay resident Melissa Cotta, who together are working tirelessly to secure barriers on the Mt. All of our programs at SAMSRI are provided to Rhode Islanders without cost. There is no need for a diagnosis. There are no fees or third party reimbursements. Annually, we depend on the good will of our volunteers and donors.
