For 45 years, against incredible odds, The Samaritans of RI has never given up on advocating for the hopeless, alone, the suicidal, caregivers and the grieving.
For 45 years, we have been consistent and trusted.
For 45 years, all volunteer based services have been offered free of charge.
For 45 years, more than 1,725 current and alumni volunteers have been trained in befriending and nonjudgmental listening.
New! Advocating for suicide prevention barriers on the Mt. Hope, Pell and Jamestown bridge. The legislature has appropriated the funding for an engineering study. Nearly 6,000 petition signers have supported this effort. We won't quite until our bridges are safe for everyone.
